BLOGGER

 MY HOUSE

1. Stage 1: Choose topic and groups

Students worked in groups of 2-3. Topic: “My House and Its Rooms” using there is / there are.

2. Stage 2: Create Genially

Each group made an interactive presentation with images of rooms and furniture.

Students recorded sentences like:

There is a bed in the bedroom.

There are two chairs in the kitchen.

3. Stage 3: Prepare materials

Students used vocabulary handouts and simple project planners.

4. Stage 4: Present

Groups presented to the class. Classmates answered simple questions to practice listening and interaction.

Groups

 Groups were balanced by abilities.

The project took one week from planning to presentation.

Materials and links:

Vocabulary handouts, planners, and example sentences.

 Photos and videos.

Reflection:

Genially made learning interactive and helped students practice speaking.

I would add more rehearsal time and extra audience questions next time.

VALORACIÓN DE BLOGS

The Magic of English in Action

El blog The Magic of English in Action me ha parecido muy inspirador y motivador.

                              Innovation in EFL Classroom

CLIMATE CHANGE

CLIMATE CHANGE

I chose an authentic video about climate change because it is an important and meaningful topic for Primary students. It is connected to their Science lessons and helps them understand how to take care of the planet. The video used simple language and clear images, which made it easy to follow.

The main objectives were:

To learn basic vocabulary (pollution, recycling, global warming).
To improve listening skills.
To encourage students to talk about how to help the planet.

Students watched the edited EDPUZZLE video at home and answered some questions. In class, we checked the answers and worked in groups to create a poster about how to protect the Earth. Then, they shared their ideas with the class.

Flipping part of the lesson helped students feel more confident because they already knew the topic before coming to class.

The best part was the group discussion. Students were very motivated and enjoyed giving ideas. Next time, I would add a short vocabulary activity before watching the video to help lower-level students.
Overall, the activity was successful and engaging.

LONDON

LONDON IN FIVE DAYS

The learning objectives of the activity
The main learning objectives were to help students learn about some important places to visit in London, improve their reading and writing skills in English, and practice organizing information in chronological order. Students also worked on their digital skills.

The advantages of using TimeToast for this activity
TimeToast is easy to use and very visual, which is perfect for primary students. It helps them organize information clearly and makes learning more fun and interactive.

The steps you followed to set up the activity
First, I introduced some famous places in London, such as the London Eye, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace. Then, I showed the students how to use TimeToast. After that, they worked in small groups to create their own timeline with pictures and short descriptions. Finally, each group presented their timeline to the class.

Any problems and how you and the students solved them
Some students had trouble logging in and adding images. We solved this by helping each other and following the steps together on the board. I also prepared a simple guide to make it easier.

The students’ reaction – how did they feel about using TimeToast to complete the task?
The students were very excited and motivated. They enjoyed using the computer and liked seeing their work presented in a creative way. They felt proud when they shared their timelines.

Some things that you would change / improve next time
Next time, I would give clearer written instructions and allow more time for students to explore the tool. I would also prepare a short tutorial video.

At least 3 ways that the use of TimeToast helped you achieve your learning objectives

  1. It helped students organize information about London in a clear order.

  2. It improved their digital competence and teamwork skills.

  3. It made learning English more engaging and meaningful through a creative task.
